FARM TO CRAFTS
project by Designing Perspectives Foundation

Farm to Crafts is a social design project on Curacao initiated by the Designing Perspectives Foundation. The project promotes the growth and sustainability of the crafts domain on the island. They grow their own recourses and experiment with the possibilities, all inspired by the learning-by-doing method. They built a community around the project and organize events and workshop to share knowledge.

I was asked by Cleo de Brabander, founder of the Designing Perspectives Foundation, to design the visual identity. We created a modern and fresh color palette which is partly inspired by the location of the project. I designed a logo that is a mix of the roots that they are growing and a doodling shape which emphasize the learning-by-doing attitude. To make their background story more visual, I also made illustrations that explains their mission and vision. To contribute to the community feeling I designed t-shirt with quotes that suit the project, inspired by Descartes ‘I think, therefore I am’ saying.
